for this one, i did project #29 off of the “52 Projects” website. the guidelines are, “Get a regular-sized envelope. Address it to someone special. Then, stuff it with as many things as you can: a letter, photographs, ripped out magazine articles, photocopies of poems, a short story, or passages from a novel, recipes, clipped newspaper articles, art work, poems or stories you’ve written… Anything that can be folded up and put in the envelope. Make sure to stuff it so full that you need to use tape to keep it sealed. This envelope should have serious heft. Once it’s sealed, get the proper postage put on it (definitely use stamps) and mail it off. “ i’m not quite sure who to send the envelope off to yet but time will tell. i filled my envelope with a guide to the music box theater’s upcoming shows, a bunch of magazine clippings of people and clothes, a blue foil dove chocolate wrapper that says, “make ‘someday’ today” in it, a pad of yellow post-it notes, band-aids, a pink jelly bracelet, a silver bead necklace from the 2011 chicago gay pride parade, q-tipes, paper clips, and, last but not least, a guide to project #29, with the hopes that whoever i send it to might continue the project on.
